Here’s our story

Since 2013 the Taberna Folias de Baco is inspired by its origins in the cooler slopes of Douro Valley.
A land naturally preserved, known for its stunning landscapes shaped by a temperamental river and dedicated workers, where grapes and olives reign supreme in a unique territory.

So, what started out as a family operated business quickly grew into a fully-fledged small business that we operate out of our professional catering kitchen in Lisle. The team has also grown to 6 people; we can cater at events as large as 1,000 people.

The simplicity of our cuisine is characterised by unpretentious flavours that highlights the quality of our ingredients, sourced seasonally from local farmers and sustainable projects.

The wines served at Taberna Folias de Baco are produced from grapes grown in our organic vineyards, harvested manually and processed with minimal intervention in our winery. These wines perfectly complement the delicious dishes served at our restaurant, creating a harmonious and memorable dining experience for our guests.
